Here's a design that has worked on my VN V6. Take a Uni Filter, remove all original air box assembly, Cut a hole in the sheet metal now exposed large enough to mount the Filter upside down (you'll have to move the air con vacumn cannister). Line the now bare metal with a piece of garden watering systemhose which you have slit down the middle. Get some adjustable brake ducting from Revolution race gear and hose clamp it to the original air hose and the upside down filter. Then take the front wheel off, and screw in a piece of very small gauge (say 0.9) sheet metal to the inside of the wheel arch to protect the filter from spray off the wheel in the wet. This is a trick looking set up and it sounds awesome when its coming towards you!! If you want to go real extream, you can then have a custom air hose made up out of small gauge stainless steel, and have nice smooth curves for the air to flow around....
